Beautiful Boots, Couldn't make them work

I'll start by saying these boots are gorgeous! Very stylish. Constructed well - all the things.

Unfortunately for me, I couldn't find a size that worked. My normal size 41 was way too big in length (a full size, maybe more) and the 40 was too tight in width. For the price, I couldn't justify keeping them but I definitely would have been happy with these had I found a fit that worked.
