Leathers

VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER

VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER

Our Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather is a classic leather that shows its wear beautifully over time. It is warm, it is strong, and it is personal.  It will not remain pristine and sleek, and although scratching will occur, we do not view these marks as defects. It is completely natural, meaning it is naked, with no synthetic top finishes. The surface of Vegetable Tanned leather will change over time, and exposure to water will create spots. While we recommend avoiding rain, the patina created by daily wear-and-tear is meant to change and evolve over time. Our natural colorways such as Cammello and Brandy will slowly darken over time due to exposure to the sun.

As pictured above, please note the Cammello Antico bucket on the left in its original unworn condition, and on the right, the level of darkening after one year of regular use.

For advice on general maintenance and care, the best option is to take your bag to a trusted leather goods repair shop. To care for the bag at home, you can find commercial products in drugstores to clean and polish the leather.

CALF LEATHER

CALF LEATHER

Our Italian Calf Leather is a smooth, refined leather with a polished finishing. Although recognized for its longevity, it is still prone to occasional scratching if not handled with proper care.  We recommend occasionally treating this leather with a leather conditioner, which will help keep it hydrated.  To prevent the leather from developing marks, we recommend avoiding exposure to abrasive surfaces and always taking care to store the item properly in its dust bag when not in use. For lighter colors in this material we also recommend avoiding exposure to dark denim or other dark fabrics with loose dye, as the leather could be subject to color transfer or stains.

PEBBLE LEATHER

PEBBLE LEATHER

Our Italian pebble leather is a soft, rich leather with a fine grained surface, achieved through a process called milling. While our pebble leather is strong, we do recommend occasionally treating it with a leather conditioner to keep the material hydrated. For lighter colors, we recommend avoiding exposure to dark denim or other fabrics with loose dye, as the leather could be subject to color transfer or stains.

SAFFIANO LEATHER

SAFFIANO LEATHER

Our Italian Saffiano Leather is a coated leather with a subtle, cross-hatched pattern on its surface. It is a durable and resilient material, resistant to scratching and moisture.  For lighter colors in this material we recommend avoiding exposure to dark denim or other dark fabrics with loose dye, as the leather could be subject to color transfer. If the leather develops any scuffs or marks, we recommend lightly cleaning the surface with a damp cloth or treating the leather with a leather conditioner.

LAMB LEATHER

LAMB LEATHER

Our Italian lambskin is an ultra-smooth, buttery leather with a polished finishing. Lambskin is recognized for both its soft texture and longevity. This material is prone to occasional scratching if not handled with proper care. We recommend treating your piece with a leather conditioner to keep it hydrated. Avoid exposure to abrasive surfaces and always take care to store the item in its dust bag. For lighter colors, we also recommend avoiding exposure to dark denim or other dark fabrics with loose dye, as the leather could be subject to transfer or stains.

TUMBLED CALFSKIN

TUMBLED CALFSKIN

Our Italian Tumbled Calfskin is a textured, soft leather with a supple handfeel. Although recognized for its longevity, it is still prone to occasional scratching if not handled with proper care. We recommend occasionally treating this leather with a leather conditioner, which will help keep it hydrated. Avoid exposure to abrasive surfaces and always taking care to store the item properly in its dust bag when not in use.

SHEARLING

SHEARLING

Our lamb shearling features a plush shearling wool exterior with a leather interior. This material provides superior natural insulation. To prolong the life of your shearling, we recommend avoiding excessive moisture. Store shearling items away from direct sunlight to avoid color fading. For deep cleaning, bring your item to a specialty leather cleaner.

SUEDE LEATHER

SUEDE LEATHER

Our Italian Suede Leather is a soft, delicate leather with a velvet like finish. Darker and vibrantly colored suedes may stain lighter colored clothing and other materials if placed in close contact.  To prolong the life of your suede leather product we recommend pre-treating the leather with a suede protectant and avoiding exposure to water or other liquids.  We also recommend occasionally treating the leather with a suede brush, which can help smooth any marks or indentations on the surface.

FABRICS

DOUBLE FACED CASHMERE

DOUBLE FACED CASHMERE

Our 100% Italian cashmere is a luxurious material with a beautiful soft hand. In lieu of a traditional lining, double faced cashmere garments combine the same fabric for both the interior and exterior. The seams of double faced cashmere garments are sewn by hand, giving each piece an exceptionally clean finish. In order to prolong the life of your garment, we recommend dry cleaning.
