Apples in Northern Italy are harvested and first used to make juices, jams, and other useful food products.
The leftover fibers are dried, dehydrated, and made into a powder that can be flattened and rolled out.
The beautiful new material is then hand crafted into our classic bag shapes by our artisans in Italy.

I always admired this bucket bag, but having committed to not buying leather, I just admired from a distance knowing I would never purchase one. This bag made my dreams come true! Very simple, no interior pockets. My only wish is that the drawstring would stay tied a little easier so I could maintain the nice bow that it arrived with. Gorgeous!

Beautiful but not very supple - and it's starting to fray a little on the side by my body after only a few wears. I love having a vegan option and will always choose that instead of leather though.
